Fix#1: Defective Pump or Pump Seal

A rubber gasket will help in sealing the pump to the bottom of the tub. There will also be seals in the two compartments of pump (wash and drain) which helps in preventing any leakage of water. They can also be worn out and can create leak problems. Dispenser is usually located on the inside door panel on most dishwashers. It is normally sealed with a gasket to stop any leakage of water.
